Vasu’s previous film to hit the theatres was Moondram Pournami in the year 2022. V. V. Raju is the grandson of actor M. R. Radha and the great-grandson of stage artist M. R. Rani (known as “Rai”). His uncle, Radha Ravi, aunts Raadhika, and Nirosha are also in the industry.

- He made his acting debut in Palaivanathil Pattampoochi (1988), and he has continued to appear in supporting roles in films, playing both villainous and comical parts. Vasu Vikram has also appeared in Radhika’s television series Chithi, where he was praised for his performance as a bad guy.
- He was a graduate of IIT Madras. After obtaining his degree, he went on to study at the Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan school in K.K.Nagar, Chennai, and later enrolled at Dr. Alagappa Chettiar College in Porur, Chennai for further studies in the arts. It is learned that he was scouted by a private casting agency after his graduation from the acting school in Chennai. Thagapansamy, his debut as a director, came after completing his last term of study at Avalon School of Acting in Chennai.
- After completing his acting training, Vasu Vikram worked as an assistant director on three films directed by Nandha. He is now working on his next film, which will be produced by Vimanam Creations and Selvakumar under the Vimanam Cinemas banner.
