Sukanya is a South Indian actress, music composer, singer, Bharatnatyam dancer, and voice actor. Sukanya has worked in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries. Chennai was her birthplace. Thirumathi Palanisamy (Tamil), Thambi Pondatti (Tamil), Senthamizh Paattu (Tamil), Ilavarasan (Tamil) and Solaiyamma are some of her other notable Tamil films. She has acted in films such as Thalattu (1993), Mahanadi (1994), Puthiya Parasakthi (1996), and Thambi Durai (1997). Her other works include 2000’s Good Luck, 2001’s Krishna Krishna, 2002’s Sri Bannari Amman, 2006’s Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, 2008’S Aayutham Seivom, and 2014. She was chosen Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Actress.
Sukanya Biography
Sukanya’s debut Malayalam film was 1992’s Apaaratha, which she also wrote. Her other films include 1994’s Sagaram Sakshi, 1996’s Thooval Kottaram, and 1998’s Rakthasakshikal Sindabad, among others. 2004 Sujata made her debut in 1992 with Peddarikam, and since then she has appeared in numerous commercially successful Telugu films. Her most notable works are Captain (1994), Sri (2007), Munna (2012), Adhinayakudu (2015), and Srimanthudu (2015). Sukanya’s filmography includes Guru Brahma (1992) and Chandra (2013) in Kannada.
