Subaru Samuel Bartsch better known as Subaru Kimura is a German–Japanese actor, voice actor, music artist, and rapper. His most well-known role is that of Takeshi Goda in the Doraemon franchise, which has resulted in many specials.

When he was in elementary school, he portrayed Kenji Haga in the impersonation show Mimakin on Nippon TV. He dropped out of Asia University after graduating from Harumi Sogo High School.

In April 2005, he began narration duties in TV Asahi’s anime series Doraemon, taking over from the late Kazuya Tatekabe. Kimura was a junior high school student when he started his career.

He’s worked on numerous television programs, including Tanken Bakumon, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger, Uchu Sentai Kyuranger, Dark Blaster, Mashin Sentai Kiramager, and GARUGAKU. He’s also appeared in shows such as -Girls Garden- and Kamen Rider Revice.

Monster Strike, Koro-sensei Q, Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue (2017), The Heike Story, The Way of the Househusband, Super Crooks are his best net animations.

He is a native Japanese speaker who has voiced several English dubs for anime series. He does voice work at Bang Zoom! Entertainment, Studiopolis Inc., and DuArt Film & Video.

He was also a lead role in Fuji Television’s Anime Goccha (2018), which will premiere in January 2018, as well as the anime film Touken Ranbu-Hanamaru.
