Neha Dhupia was born on August 27, 1980, in Kochi, Kerala, India to a Sikh family. Her father, Commander Pradip Singh Dhupia, was a serving member of the Indian Navy and her mother, Manpinder (Babli Dhupia), is a housewife. She attended Naval Public School in Cochin before transferring to Navy Children’s School in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. She earned a degree from Jesus and Mary College in New Delhi, affiliated with the University of Delhi, with honors in History.

In 2018, Dhupia married Angad Bedi in a private ceremony at a Gurudwara. On November 18, she gave birth to a girl. She delivered her second child, a baby boy, on October 3, 2021.
Dhupia began her career as an actress in New Delhi, where she performed in a play called Graffiti. She subsequently appeared in the music video for Indipop band Euphoria and modeled for advertising campaigns. She later starred in the TV series Rajdhani.
She made her feature film debut in Qayamat: City Under Threat. She gained recognition for her role as Julie and then played twin sisters in Sheesha (2005). She subsequently appeared in movies like Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005) and Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), both of which were commercially successful.
Dhupia has been seen in the MTV Web series Teen Diva. She took on the role of Parvati, a young singer who clashes with her business’ CEO. The objective of the program is to highlight the difficulties that young women face when striving for their goals against all odds.
Dhupia has also fronted a television program called Random Expressions. In 2004, she was one of the hosts for MTV Roadies’ first season. She competed on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, a celebrity-based dance competition show in 2005.
She posed naked for Playboy’s September 2005 issue, with six other actresses from different countries, shot by Stephen Wayda, becoming the first Indian female celebrity to do so.
In 2013, she played a police officer in her first Punjabi film, “Yaar Annmulle,” which was directed by Satinder Sartaaj. She performed the song “Mere Yaar Mila De” for this project.
