Neelu Vaghela began her acting career as a stage actress and was cast in movies at the age of 11. In 1981, she played Supattar Binani in Supattar Binani and her next film was Bai Chali Sasariya, which was later remade in Hindi as Saajan Ka Ghar.
She has appeared in films including Ramgarh, Raja Ramli, Jai Karni Mata and Naini Bai Ro Mayro. Lancha Gujri, Derani Jethani, Ramkudi Ghamkudi, Baisa Ra Jatan Karo, Dadosari Laadli, Veer Tejaji and Bai Chali Sasariye.
She went on to compete in the fifth season of dance competition “Nach Baliye,” with her spouse Arvind Kumar. In March 2013, she and her spouse achieved third place on the fifth season of Nach Baliye.
She has received a number of accolades, including the ITA Award (2013-14) Best Supporting Actress, STAR Parivaar Award (2014-15) Favourite Saas, Indian Telly Jury Prize (2013) Best Supporting Actress.
