nakshatra was educated at Chettinad Vidyashram in Chennai. After studying hotel management at IHM, she moved into the entertainment business as a video jockey. She previously hosted Thanthi TV’s show Vaanavil before moving on to be a host on television shows such as Sun Singer for Sun TV. Nakshatra made her screen debut in the 2013 thriller, Settai.
She also played supporting roles in two more feature films: Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (2014) and Settai (2013). “I’m an actress. I’ve been in a lot of movies, but they were all Telugu,” she explains. Her first Tamil web series was Balaji Mohan’s As I’m Suffering From Kadhal, which aired on YouTube and received over 100,000 views as part of the company’s “short films” initiative.
In 2018, she was named by the Chennai Times as India’s fourth most “desirable woman on television.”
