Kalabhavan Mani, popularly known as Kalabhavan Mani, was an Indian film actor and singer who began his career with the Kalabhavan comedy troupe. Kalabhavan Mani began his acting career as a mimicry artist with the Kalabhavan comedy group. He had appeared in over 250 films, including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu films, and was renowned for his comical characters and villain parts.

Mani won the National Film Award – Special Jury Award and Kerala State Film Award for his portrayal of Ramu in Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum (1999). Kunnisseri Veettil Raman Mani was born in Kerala on New Year’s Day in 1971 as Kunnisseri Veettil Raman Mani, the son of Chenathunad Kunnisseri Veettil Raman and Ammini. Velayudan (deceased), his older brother, studied at GLPS East School Chalakudy until 4th grade, and Government Boys School till 10th grade.

Mani got married to Nimmy on September 22, 1999 and has a daughter. He was formerly an autorickshaw driver from Chalakudy. His brother R. L. V. Ramakrishnan had a cameo appearance in the Bamboo Boys as Harisree Ashokan, his brother Haneefa Cochin, and Salim Kumar.
He began his acting career as a mimicry artist with the Cochin Kalabhavan drama group. He made his film debut in the Malayalam film Aksharam, in which he played an auto rickshaw driver. Sallapam (1996), a success, was the breakthrough for him. After this, he appeared in several films in comedic roles. He gave memorable performances in films such as Dilliwala Rajakumaran, Manthra Mothiram, Gajaraja Manthram, Katha Nayagan, Mayaponman and Kottappurathe Koottukudumbam. Mani’s comedic performance as Monayi in the 1998 film Summer in Bethlahem was well-received by the public. His actual potential to play character roles was revealed in the movie Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum after he played a variety of comic characters. He performed the part of a blind singer in it, which earned him a Special Jury Prize at both National Film Awards and Kerala State Film Awards.
