Manohar Velmurugan Thangasamy, also known as Charle, was born in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a Tamil actor who has appeared in more than 600 Hindi films. Manohar Velmurugan Thangasamy completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from G. V. N. College in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu. He had a fondness for imitating and mimicking Tamil actors like Sivaji and Nagesh since he was a student at GVN College in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu. He was a stage actor and a one-stop entertainer since his college years. He worked as a Staff Artist in the Information and Broadcasting ministry’s song and drama division, where he performed in about 10,000 plays. In 1982, he made his debut in “Poikal Kuthirai,” a film directed by Suresh Chandra.

Dr. K. Balachandar, the film’s director, has taken the name Charle after changing his own name to it. He is a versatile actor who has worked in Telugu and Tamil films as a comedian and in character roles. He has featured in several National Film Development Corporation of India movies, among other things. His first two features did not perform well at the box office. However, the producers inspired him and his subsequent release “Poovilangu” was a success.
