Venu Arvind, or more commonly known as Venu Aravind, is a Tamil television and film actor, stage artist, voice-over artist, and director. He was born on November 9, 1965, and received his bachelor’s degree in physics from DG Vaishnav College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu with a master’s degree in management. He enjoyed reading, yet he decided to focus on media. He comes from a conservative family, but his parents supported him and even encouraged him to do his best. He was married to Shobha.
Venu Arvind Biography
From 1975, he was a child actor in DD’s Tuesday plays. He performed on many serials for DD, including ‘Alai Osai’ and ‘Rishimoolam.’ During his studies at university, Venu learned to act under Poornam Viswanathan’s theater group. Venu became well-known after appearing in several K. Balachander serials, including Chitti Babu in the Sun TV soap opera, and he was later recognized for his role as the main antagonist in Alaigal, a mega serial on which he won the Best Direction and Best Acting awards. He was cast as a monster in the 1989 film Dangerous Minds, which boosted his career and helped him land more roles in future films. Then he lent voices and appearances to minor characters in various films.
He has also acted in films including Raadhika Sarathkumar’s Selvi and Arasi. He remembers those days with pleasure, as he was a great antagonist. He relished the role of the main bad guy since people loved to despise him. He was given the Kalaimamani Award for his dutiful conduct in 2007, making him the first TV serial actor to earn it.
