Chandan Kumar, also known as ‘Chandan,’ is a television and Kannada film actor. He is best known in the Kannada film industry for his work on Radha Kalyana, a television soap opera, and later Lakshmi Baramma, in which he played the role of Chandu.

He was an engineer before becoming an actor. In 2011, Suvarna TV’s Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru program called Chandan was the contestant.
He began his career with the television soap Radha Kalyana, in which he played the lead role of Vishal Bharadwaj. From 2011 to 2013, he acted in Zee Kannada’s series Radha Kalyana. From 2013 to 2014, he performed in Colors Kannada’s drama Lakshmi Baramma.
He was then cast in several movies that required him to leave the serials midway. In 2014, he starred in his first lead role film, Parinaya, which took two years to produce. He was a main star in Luv U Alia (2015), and the protagonist of Prema Baraha, a bilingual film.
He has also been a participant on various reality shows, including Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru, “Dancing Stars season 1,” and Bigg Boss Kannada 3’s runner-up.
Chandan has been acting on television since 2011, when he played the lead role of Vishu in Zee Kannada’s Radha Kalyana. He then accepted a role in another soap, Lakshmi Baramma, which aired on Colors Kannada. The latter series catapulted him to fame and made him a prominent television star. He was a part of the reality show “Pyaate Mandi Kadige Bandru” in 2010.
In 2016, he was Runner Up of Bigg Boss Kannada 3, which aired on Colors Kannada.
