Aarthi – Harathi, also known as Aarthi, is an Indian film actress and television presenter who has appeared in Tamil films and television series. After making her debut while still a youngster in the late 1990s, Aarthi had a televised stand-up comedy show before joining the Tamil film industry with films such as Giri (2004), Padikkadavan (2009) and Kutty (2010).
Biography
She started her career as a child in Vanna Kanavugal’s film at the age of just six months. She worked with actor Vadivelu in some of her early successes, including Arul (2004), Giri (2004) and Kundakka Mandakka (2005). For her work in Padikkadavan (2009).
She was dubbed as “Kollywood’s most sought-after comedian” in 2012. She was given the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian for her performance in Paraseega Mannan (2012) that year. Later, she garnered praise from The Hindu’s critic for her appearance in an item number in Vishnuvardhan’s Yatch
Aarthi took part in the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Kamal Haasan, in 2017. She was eliminated from the competition on day 21, but she returned for a fortnight as a guest participant.

During October 2009, Aarthi wed fellow comic Ganeshkar in Guruvayoor, before returning to Chennai for a wedding celebration. The pair had previously performed together on the reality dance show Maanada Mayilada.
