Vivek Gopan is a popular young actor from the Mollywood film industry who has become the favorite of the small screen family audience since he began playing the main part in Asianet channel’s blockbuster soap opera ‘Parasparam.’ Since becoming a member of Amma Kerala Strikers, an Indian cricket team in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), Vivek has been more well-known among youngsters.

Vivek Gopan was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, in 1983. He went to school there. His family’s musical inclinations allowed Vivek to learn music and classical dance while attending school. During his high school days, he performed on many stages for both vocal and Bharatanatyam performances. Cricket overtook dance and music as his primary passion during his youth, which finally got him a place on Kerala Under 19 state cricket team. After school, he worked in the pharmaceutical business for a number of years. His ability as a cricketer, however, got him admitted to director Priyadarshan’s cricket club, which subsequently helped him achieve fame in CCL. In the match against Mumbai Heroes in CCL 3, Vivek had his moments both CCL 2 and 3, and he was named “Man of the Match” in CCL 3 against Mumbai Heroes.

Vivek’s acting career began with his inclusion in Priyadarshan’s cricket club. It was the turning point in his life, which led to his movie-acting profession. His first film was Priyadarshan’s Arabiyum Ottakavum P. Madhavan Nairum, in 2011. Since then, he has done several minor supporting and villainous roles in Malayalam films, such as Ee Adutha Kalathu, Nakhangal, My Fan Ramu, and Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty. He also had a minor part in Priyadarshan’s Bollywood film Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal in 2012.
It was the Malayalam soap opera “Parasparam” directed by Purushothaman and aired on Asianet since 2013 that recognized Vivek Gopan’s true acting abilities. For his performance as Suraj in the series, Vivek won the Best Actor award at the Asianet Television Awards-2014.
