Deepak grew up in Pallikaranai and went to Gill Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School for his primary education before going on to study economics at Loyola College. He is married to S. Sivaranjani and has a young son named Agnidh. While attending college, Deepak began his modeling career. After graduating, he worked in broadcasting.
