Charles Forrest “Spike” Spencer is an American voice actor and journalist who has dubbed Japanese anime films. He is recognized for his work as Shinji Ikari in ADV Films’ anime adaptations of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Martian Successor Nadesico as Akito Tenkawa, and Excel Saga as Gojo Shioji.

Spencer went to the University of Houston for four years. He is a foodie with a website called DontKillYourDate.com. Spencer has a 2nd-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a brown belt in aikido.
After making a number of indy films, he met Amanda Winn-Lee, who advised him to audition for ADV Films’ anime English dubbing.
