Mizuta was married to actor and television presenter Yoshitaka Kaidu, with their son being called Noriaki. The pair divorced in the summer of 2018, after having been separated for four years. That year, she announced her marriage to fellow voice actor Toshiharu Sakurai, who had been revealed as her partner on the Doraemon “The Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016” live-action special in December 2017.
She studied acting at a practical school after finishing high school, and she became an apprentice to a well-known seiyū. She started out as a minor actress for about two years, during which time she performed as “Miyu Ōyama.” She debuted as Wasabi Mizuta on stage in 1994 and gained her first main role on TV (in 1994).
Doraemon features her voice as the main protagonist robot cat, which is heard by children all throughout Japan. She has also appeared in a number of other anime, including Mizuiro Jidai, Yukikaze, and others.
She has also released two albums, “Gogo no Kaze – Wasabi no Pawa Pawa Bīto” and “K.” She enjoys music, including singing and piano playing.
She is also fluent in French. She studied in France for over a year when she was 18 years old, taking language courses. When she was cast in the series Mizuiro Jidai as the French Emilie, this information proved beneficial.
