Vineeth, who is the nephew of yesteryear actress Padmini and Shobana’s cousin, was inspired by his aunt Padmini to become a classical dancer. Due to the influence of aunt Padmini, he had grown up to be a traditional dancer. Ragini (Padmini’s sister) spotted him dancing when he was four years old, and both Padmini and Ragini advised his parents to enroll him in a dance school. It was Guru Sarswathi’s husband and a filmmaker Vasudevan Nair who pushed him to become an actor and pursue filmmaking. His dancing abilities were still mostly shown in several films in which he had acted. Take, for example, the film Chandramukhi; it takes a dedicated dancer to convey those emotions through dance to the audience (his dance with Jyothika). Vineeth is adamant that a dancer should live and feel everything life has to offer. He has been dancing since he was four years old, and her encouragement helped him to take it seriously. This dancer entered the tinsel world with I. V. Sasi’s ‘Edanilangal’ (1985), a Malayalam film. But it was only in 1986 that he achieved real success as a star when he appeared in ‘Nakhakshathangal.’ In 1996, Vinneth acted in the Tamil film Kadal Desam,’ along with Tabu and Abbas. He had worked on several successful Malayalam movies prior to 1994. He had starred in most Malayalam films previous to this period. His career did not live up to expectations, however.
