He finished his education from the Government Arts College of Salem and took lessons at the Adyar Film Institute for acting. Saravanan has acted in more than 25 films. He was a contestant on Bigg Boss Tamil season 3, alongside Cheran Pandiyan and Abirami Venkatachalam.
