Saina Nehwal – A former Indian professional badminton player who has been achieved over 24 International titles from which Includes eleven Superseries titles and reached the second all over the world it has happened the only year 2015 that a female player has been able to achieve this position after Prakash Padukone, Saina represented India three times in the Olympics, winning a bronze medal in her second appearance.

Saina made her debut in the year 2006 in the world championship at the age of 16 and she was defeated by Jiang Yangjioa in the 1st round. and there she was able to reach the final of World Junior Badminton Championships and ended up as a Runner-Up. saina achieved many milestones in badminton for India and the only Indian who won at least one medal in every BWF major individual event, namely the Olympics, and also the first badminton player who won an Olympic medal.
In the year 2009, she wins the Indonesia Open and became the 1st Indian badminton player to win BWF Super Series titles.
In 2010 April, she won the Bronze medal at the Asian Badminton Championships, and in October, She achieved a Gold and a Bronze in Women’s Singles at Delhi.
In 2014, she won the Australian Super Series title by defeating Carolina Marin, and in the same year in Asian Games, she and the Indian Women’s Team won the Bronze Medal.
She becomes the 1st Indian Player to Reach the World Badminton Championships final and won the Silver medal.
She won two Gold medals in Women’s Singles and Mixed Team in Glasgow, Scotland, and in September, she won the Bronze medal at the Jakarta Asian Games in 2015.
Saina gets set to qualifying for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as she has to be in top-16 to make it to the event.
Saina belongs to Haryana, but her family shifted to Hyderabad when she was 5 years old.
Her parents also have been the state-level badminton champions for Haryana.
Her badminton Coach Nani prasad Rao advised her father and she start playing badminton at the age of 8, because of her training her father used to take her 50 km far to a badminton academy daily.
Her mother used to call her “Steffi saina” as she has been a big fan of tennis star “SteffiGraff”.
She has been Brown belt Champion in karate.
In 2012, She won the gold medal in Olympics, on that Sachin Tendulkar gifted her BMW car as a gift.
Her grandmother was not really happy about her birth, as she wanted a boy.
In 2012, she released her autobiography “Playing to Win” My Life On and Off Court.
She faced injuries on the face in the year 2016, 17 because of that she wasn’t playing in a few tournaments.
