She started playing badminton at the age of 8 and learned basic knowledge of the sport with the guidance of Mehboob Ali at the badminton courts of the Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications in Secunderabad.
She was born on 5th July 1995 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
At the age of 8, she started playing badminton and entered the international circuit at the young age of 14.
At the age of 16, she competed at the All England Open Championships as a qualifier.
In 2016, she won the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold women’s singles title after beating Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour in the final.
