SureMDM by 42Gears is one of those Made in India solutions that are playing an important part in allowing businesses all around the world to empower their remote and mobile workforces.
Intuitive unified endpoint management (UEM) software for Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms from SecureIt is called SecureIt It allows enterprises to secure, monitor, and manage company-owned devices for dedicated usage.
It can also be used to defend against BYOD, or employee-owned devices used to access corporate data.
The app was among the 24 winners of the AatmaNirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge, an initiative organized by the Government of India in nine categories to promote homegrown software under a first-of-its-kind innovation challenge. It was chosen from about 7,000 applications.
Onkar Singh and Prakash Gupta, two entrepreneurs with considerable expertise in the corporate mobility sector, created Mobility Systems in 2009.
Onkar Singh has over two decades of expertise building solutions for the enterprise mobility sector, having earned a computer science and engineering degree from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.
Prakash Gupta has more than a decade of expertise and holds an electronics and communication degree from IIT-BHU, as well as having been the author of three US patents. The two men had worked previously at Motorola on mobile infrastructure solutions. Onkar Singh is in charge.

The inspiration behind 42Gears
As tech entrepreneurs, the founders recognized that device management was a global problem that needed to be addressed, not just in India.
“There were few, if any, robust device management solutions on the market when we launched the firm that helped companies provision, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot their business devices. We saw an opportunity there, so we decided to create a solution.” Onkar says.
They knew they had the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for this type of project, so they decided to take the entrepreneurial plunge.
Today, 42Gears has expanded from a small operation with just a few members in a single-room office to an organization of over 200 people operating throughout India, the UK, and the US who serve over 10,000 clients across 115 countries.
“We feel we can make a lot of contributions to India’s self-reliance. Our solution allows businesses to manage, monitor, and secure their business endpoints from a single pane of glass. And in the current situation, we knew this is critical,” adds Prakash.
42Gears’ subscription service is available in three tiers: Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. This provider’s difference from a rest comes with a Things Management Framework for companies to manage linked devices, add-ons, and peripherals through a central console. This technology aids in the development of smarter goods by introducing smart logic at the host machine level.
“Our solution may be used to manage any type of device, regardless of make, operating system, or ownership. We also assist organizations manage their ‘not-so-smart’ endpoints such as charging docks, printers, handheld Readers, and so on through our unique Things Management Technology.” says Onkar.
What’s next for 42Gears?
According to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for UEM Tools, WorkSAM is one of the best platforms in 2019 and 2020. WorkSAM is a Cloud-based software that provides a user-friendly interface for managing tasks and events. It’s used by companies such as PayPal, CNBC, American Express, Mastercard, Spotify and Uber among others.
The plan, however, is for the team to continue to improve the product in terms of features while also extending support for additional devices with better performance.
