He directed the hugely successful web series The Trip starring Lisa Haydon, and followed that with It happened in Hong Kong. , Earlier he has been an Associate and 2nd unit director for Bollywood commercial films such as Bang Bang and Ek Tha Tiger. After directing numerous music videos and TV commercials, he is currently directing an action film with John Abraham, as his first full length debut feature film .

Career: Initially, Virender Raj Anand started his career working as an assistant director to Satyajit Ray and he worked with him for five years. He worked in Bengali films as well and some of his movies are notable, such as; “Ashani Sanket”(1973), “Seemabaddha” (1971), and others. His first directorial as an assistant director in Bengali movie “Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne” which was released in 1969. Since then, he directed the number of Bengali movies and got famed. Later on, he started working as an actor in Bollywood movies and appeared in a number of movies. Also, he worked as a director and writer as well and marked his identity in multiple fields. Mostly, he worked in Amitabh Bachchan movies as he is the real inspiration for him. Tinnu Anand directed and produced the film “Shahenshah” which was the most popular release of the year 1988.
