Pola Kaushik Babu was born in Andhra Pradesh to Vijay Babu, editor of a Telugu daily newspaper. Sharada, his mother, has worked at the Raj Bhavan. He has acted in several Telugu and Tamil Mythological TV serials. He has appeared in films Lord Vishnu (2009), Lord Venketashwar (2009), Lord Krishna (2011), and Lord Shiva (2012). His performances as Adi Shankara in a 2013 Telugu film Shri Jagadguru Adi Shankara were among his finest to date. His performance was popular with audiences and also received good reviews from critics.
