Jevon White is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. Born to an African-American father and a Korean mother, Jevon struggled through his teenage years being bullied for being mixed race till he moved with his mom to Los Angeles, where they are working hard at making ends meet. Jevon started writing comedy when he was in high school, where his teachers encouraged him to perform for the talent show. He won 2nd place with an original piece of music about Dungeons&Dragons. Since then Jevon has been performing stand-up regularly at venues around Los Angeles and is currently working on a web series called “Holiday Roadtrip” where he plays the lead character.
Jevon White Biography
He was born on December 18th, 1992 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born to Jamaican immigrants and raised in Harvey, Illinois. He later attended Marian Catholic High School where he participated in Speech and Theatre before studying at DePaul University, where he became involved in improv comedy through the collegiate improvisation program “The Titanic Players”. From DePaul, he ultimately left in his senior year to pursue his comedy career full-time. Jevon started performing regularly at various comedy venues in his home city of Chicago before moving to Los Angeles, where it is now based. He has performed for crowds as big as 8,000 spectators at the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications’ (NAMIC) Annual Convention and regularly appears at clubs around Los Angeles, including the Comedy Store and The Ice House.

Career: He performed stand-up for the first time at an open mic night when he was 19; he was hired for his first stand-up gig when he was 21. He continued to perform stand-up at several bars and clubs around Chicago and New York City, and was a finalist at the 2016 NYC Devil Cup Stand Up Festival. Beginning in late 2016, several of his memes, tweets, and posts went viral. He subsequently gained prominence on social media, particularly on Twitter and Instagram, where he grew a large following. In 2017, he was featured on Rolling Stone’s “25 Under 25: Meet the Young Musicians, Actors, Activists Changing the World” list.
