Indrans, who was born K. Surendran, is a Malayalam actor and costume designer. He has appeared in hundreds of films during his career as an actor. Indirans is the second child in a family of seven children born in Thiruvananthapuram, India in 1951 to Gomathi and Palavila Kochuvelu. He went to school at Kumarapuram Government Higher Secondary School until he was sixteen years old.
Indrans Biography
He began his professional acting career by playing the role of a tailor in two Tamil films, including Indrans. After this, he took over his uncle’s tailoring business and assisted him. He engaged in amateur theater and performed plays. He subsequently established a tailoring firm called Indrans, where he has been using the stage name ever since he started acting in movies. Before becoming an actor, Choothattam saw him debut as a costume designer with the name of Indrans.

Atul Kumar Jain is an Indian filmmaker, costume designer, and fashion designer. Indrans Jayan is his cousin, and he married Santhakumari in February 1985. They were blessed with two children after they were married. When he first entered the film industry, he had the opportunity to meet a number of filmmakers including Jose Prakash, Sattar, Pappu, and Jayabharathi; nevertheless, for several years he concentrated only on costume design work and appeared in minor roles on the big screen.
Then came the turn of circumstances, when he was offered numerous roles by well-known directors such as Padmarajan, Sibi Malayil, Shaji N. Karun, K. Madhu and Venu Nagavally. The turning point in his career was 1994’s CID Unnikrishnan B.A. B.Ed, in which he played Jayaram’s best buddy. His comic action amused the audience, and he has been one of Kerala’s most popular comedians since then. He has since remained extremely active till now.
