The Indian screenwriter and actor, Disney James has worked in the Malayalam film industry for many years. He’s done films as a lead actor and supporting actor. He was born on January 21, 1981, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. His father is James D. Plakkiyil, who used to be a bank manager in Kottayam; his mother is Tessy James. Along with his two older siblings, Deepa Saji and (late) Denny James, Disney has grown up in Thekkada. He finished his secondary education at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram before completing his pre-university course at Marlvanious College. St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering provided him with the opportunity to finish his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.

His great-grandfather Mahakavi Panditaratnam Vachaspathi Prof. P.C. Devassia was a poet and playwright who passed away in 2010 at the age of 69. After graduating from college, Disney began working as a salesperson in Bangalore before becoming an anchor on T.V. He was discovered by director Subaskaran Vincent while he was performing in a play during an inter-collegiate competition. One of the college students after seeing his performance requested him to join Iniya in a music video. He made his debut as a short film with Bharath Gopi in 2005. He followed up with several music videos, short films, and other projects afterward. During this time, he balanced both his professional career and acting profession without difficulty.

He worked as a Site Engineer and Service Engineer in Dubai from 2007 until his return to India in 2009. He decided to begin his acting career all over again when he returned to India after two years. During his start, he did not receive adequate assistance owing to which he was scammed by several film frauds. To make up for the cost of his budget, he worked part-time as a newsreader and an anchor for Victor’s channel till late that year, when he got work on House no. 13, whose production was halted after the first schedule.
