Dinesh Panicker is an Indian film producer, actor, and television producer. In 1989, he launched his career in the film industry by producing Kireedam, a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film. He went on to produce several different genres in Mollywood following that. Later on, he began acting in Malayalam movies and serials as well as serving as the general secretary of ATMA (Association of Television Media Artistes). In 1989, Panicker began his cinematic career by producing Kireedam, which features Mohanlal and was directed by Sibi Malayil. The film’s budget was ₹23 lakh and it was a box office success. Panicker initially wanted to appear in a minor role as Parvathy’s spouse but changed his mind after opposition from his wife. He later stated that he never dreamed of acting in films he produced.

Panicker’s second film was Cheppukilukkana Changathi, a comedy-drama featuring Mukesh and Jagadish. He produced Boxer in 1995, which features Babu Antony as an action hero. His next movie, Kaliveedu, is a family drama from 1996. Shajoon Kariyal’s Rajaputhran (1999), which was an action-drama and his directorial debut, was released that year. In Tamil and Telugu, it was distributed the same year. Mayilpeelikkavu is a mystery thriller produced in 1998.

Panic reunited with Sibi Malayil for a romance movie Pranayavarnangal, directed by M. K. Biji, which starred Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, Divya Unni, and Biju Menon. He produced Stalin Sivadas (1999), a political conspiracy crime drama starring Mammootty. In his debut Malayalam film, Belladonna (2017), Panicker experimented with a new formula by casting Koottickal Jayachandran in the lead role.
