Muhammad Kutty Ismail Paniparambil, better known as Mammootty, is an Indian actor and entrepreneur who was born on September 7th, 1951 in Chandiroor, Travancore-Cochin (now called Kerala), India. He is recognized for his work in the Malayalam film industry, where he has appeared in more than 350 films as an actor.

Mammootty Biography

Mammootty was the son of a schoolteacher. After completing high school, he studied law at Ernakulam Government Law College and went on to Maharaja College in Kochi, where he studied education. He practiced for two years in Manjeri also worked as an advocate. Mammootty made his film debut in 1971 in Egangal Palichalkal, directed by S Sethumadhavan. But Mammootty’s role was minor. In 1982, George launched a new trend with thriller Yavanika, in which he played the part of a police officer who was extremely strong.
