Kulkarni gave her first audition for the Aai Kuthe Kay karate series and was selected for lead role of Gauri Karkhanis. She started her career with this series. The same story has been broadcasted in six different languages including, Hindi. In her final year, she acted the play Jatakavina in which Gauri’s veneered role was also appreciated. She played in the play Purshottam as well.
