Selva RK is also known as Selva R. K. He is an Editor from India. Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Selva has also worked in films such as Kalaignan, Muthu, Padayappa, Jeans and Kandukondain Kandukondain. In 2000, Selva worked as an editor for the first time in the Hindi film Kasoor. In 2007, he made his directorial debut through the Tamil romantic drama film Rendu. With this film, he received two awards from the Tamil Nadu State Film Award ceremonies.

In 2009, Rajinikanth asked him to direct his second Tamil film. Though the project failed to develop, Selva was asked again by Rajinikanth to direct his 150th film.
On 19 October 2012, Selva revealed that he would be making a sequel to Rendu titled Rendavathu Padam in association with Lyca Productions in December 2012.
Selva has also directed a few Telugu films such as Prema Katha Chitram and Nenu Naa Rakshasi.
His son Aryan Rajesh is making his debut as an actor in the upcoming Tamil film Ippadai Vellum, which is produced by RK Selva himself.
