Raghavan is a Malayalam film actor who now works in television serials. He was born and grew up in Kozhikode. In his school days, he was interested in acting and performed several plays. He acted in a number of dramas throughout Kerala as well as outside of Kerala, such as Coorg, Mangalapuram, and so on. Later, he joined the Tagore Drama troop and studied at the Delhi National School of Drama’s Diploma Department. His debut movie was Kayalkarya (1968).

Raghavan’s “Indraneelam” is a big success among female audiences, and it was also aired on Doordarshan. It was another enormous serial with more than 1,000 episodes. He played the part of a father in “Minnukettu.” Raghavan delivered an excellent performance in the series. Raghavan has acted in numerous serials on different platforms such as Asianet, Surya, and so on. His most well-known serials are Vasundhara Medicals (Asianet), Saranam Ayappa (Surya), and Velankani Mathavu (Surya). He also directed two Malayalam films: “Evidence” in 1988 and “Kilippattu” in 1987. Finally, Raghavan wrote the screenplay for “Kilipattu.” He is married to Shobha and has two children: Jyotsna and Jishnu. His son, Jishnu, is a well-known actor in the Malayalam film industry. In the movie “Nammal,” directed by Kamal, Jishnu began his acting career. Jishnu died recently due to cancer.
