Poojappura Ravi is a well-known theater artist and comedy actor in Malayalam. He was a member of the popular drama troupe Kalanilayam Drama Vision, which produced Raktharakshasu, an epically successful horror play. During the mid-1970s, he began working in movies in black and white. He has entertained audiences in India, the Middle East, and elsewhere with more than 4000 Malayalam films and 800 feature films. He is the eldest of four children, all of whom were born at Poojappura in Thiruvananthapuram. During his school years, he discovered a passion for acting as well as a means to make money. When he was 12 years old, he acted in a radio play for All India Radio; as a result, he received three chocolates as payment.
