Paravoor Bharathan was an Indian character and comedian in Malayalam films. He was the son of Kurumbakutty and Vadakkekarayil Kochannan Koran, both of whom were from Cochin. When his father died, he had to stop studying at S.N.M. Secondary School in Moothakunnam. His mother was a coir maker, and his father was a coconut plucker. His father passed away when he was a kid, and his mother handled him. Bharathan has already acted in films during his school years. In the mid-forties, Kedamangalam Sadanandan, a prominent Kathaprasangam artiste, recognized him while he was acting in Paravoor. He started performing while living in Paravoor and in-state performances. He’s also done plays with the on-screen character Jose Prakash’s drama group.
Paravoor Bharathan Biography
When Rakthabandham was made into a film, Vijayabhanu suggested that Bharathan be cast for a role. In 1951, the film was released, directed by Vel Swamy. It starred S. D. Subbiah, Cherthala Vasudeva Kurup, Ambalapuzha Meenakshi, and others in prominent roles. Bharathan made his debut in 1951, working on films such as Kerala Kesari by V. Krishnan and Marumakal by M. K. Chari that year. Bharathan spent a significant part of his life as a phase-on-screen character. His amusing role in Mattioli’s act in the mid-1950s was the turning point for him.

Bharathan collaborated on this production with Thankamani, who had a supporting role in the movie Neelakuyil and later married him. Parethante Vilapam was the last telemovie Changathikoottam that appeared before his retirement. He traveled to Thankamani. They have four children Bindu, Pradeep, Ajayan, and Madhu. Bharathan died on August 19th at his home in Paravoor after a brief battle with several age-related issues that necessitated treatment.
He is one of the best-known and most popular acting performers from Malayalam cinema. He died on the same day as the 1965 film Chemmeen, in which he played a role, completed its 50th anniversary. He was given the Bahadoor Award for his contributions to Malayalam filmmaking in 2004. Mr. Bharathan is a veteran actor from Kerala, India who has appeared in more than 1,000 films including Arimpara by Murali Nair, C.I.D. Moosa by Johny Antony, Aniyathipraavu by Fazil and many others.
