Muthumani Somasundaran, previously known as Muthumani, is a South Indian actress who has acted primarily in Malayalam films. In 2006, she made her film debut with Rasathanthram by Sathyan Anthikkad. She now performs original roles in Malayalam movies. Muthumani was born Sherly Somasundaran and Somasundaran in the Ernakulam district of Kerala to parents who were both actors. The couple worked on the theater circuit, which inspired her to participate in theatrical performances. She went to St. Mary’s Convent Girls High School in Ernakulam for education.
