Maurice Sherbanee Biography

Sherbanee was born in Paris, France, on January 18, 1938. He grew up between Algeria and France. After graduating from the College Stanislas in 1959 he moved to Canada where he worked for the Société Générale de Banque. He went on to receive a master’s degree in finance at McGill University where he met his future wife, Ginette. The couple left Canada for New York around 1967. They moved often, landing in California by the early 1970s. Sherbanee performed with the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and taught theater classes at several Bay Area high schools. He had a small role in the hit film Jaws, which was shot on location in Martha’s Vineyard. Sherbanee also appeared in two episodes of the TV series Magnum, P.I.
