Mallika Sukumaran was a former actress who made her debut in the film Uttarayanam, which was directed by G. Aravindan, in 1974. She was born in 1954 in Haripad, Alappuzha district, Kerala. In 1979, she married Sukumaran and retired from the screen to devote her time to her family until his 1997 death.

Malayalam actress Siddharthini was a popular star in the 1960s and 1970s. She made a resurgence with K.K. Rajeev Teleserial Paithozhiyathe, which had big stars such as Thilakan and Jayabharathi. After that she didn’t have to look back; she stuck to doing many serials, both good and bad characters. She began her career with the Tamil film industry, where she was featured in a number of character parts. Her performance as an inmate in an old-age home named Saramma, who was ahead constable during her prime years, was highly praised in the movie Ammakilikoodu. She shared the cinema screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran and several prominent actresses including Kaviyoor Ponnamma and KPAC Lalitha in the film.
