Kavitha Ranjini best known by the name Urvashi is an Indian film actress, television host, and producer. Urvashi was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, to actors Chavara V. P. Nair and Vijayalakshmi. Kalpana, Bishakha, and Urvashi are three of India’s most accomplished actresses. She fell in love with Manoj K. Jayan and married him in 2000. It was reported on 11 October 2008 that Urvashi had filed for a separation from her husband. The pair’s marriage began to fall apart when they had a difference of opinion and filed for divorce in a Chennai court. They were subsequently separated by a court order. Manoj K. Jayan is now the sole guardian of their only daughter, Kunjatta. Urvashi, better known as Urvashi Ranjini, is an Indian film actress and producer.

She began her acting career in the 1980s. Her first film was Munthanai Mudichchu (Tamil, 1983), which was directed by K. Bhagyaraj. Ethirppukal is one of her earlier Malayalam films (1984).
