Kamal Haasan – Kamal Haasan is one of India’s most well-known and accomplished actors. At the age of three and a half, he began his acting career in 1959 with Kalathur Kannamma, when he was just a child actor.
He made his film debut as an adult in a minor part in 1973’s Arangetram, and he has since worked in several capacities within the Indian movie industry, including writer, director, playback singer, producer, lyricist and choreographer. He has more than 200 film credits to his name and has also worked in various languages including Tamil.

He has won several honors both at home and abroad. He was granted the Padma Shri in 1990, followed by the Padma Bhushan in 2014. He has also received three National Awards, as well as the coveted Chevalier Award from France. After actor Sivaji Ganesan, he is the second Tamil actor to receive.
He has been named one of the Time magazine’s 100 all-time greatest films for his 1987 film Nayakan. He was twice married and divorced, and he has two daughters from his second marriage: Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan. He recently broke up with his long-term live-in partner, Gautami.
