She started her career in television as a presenter for several years on Doordarshan. She made the transition from the stage to television before finally settling in the medium. Her first TV series was Dil Dariya, which was directed by Lekh Tandon from 1988 to 1989. Her reputation grew after playing Kawal Kaur Chopra in 2012’s Indian soap Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, alongside Mona Singh and actor Pawan Shankar. The Zee TV drama series, 12/24 Karol Bagh, made an impression on audiences in particular.
