He is the son of Manoharan Ramaswamy and Sivakumari. He is also known as Siva Balaji Manoharan, and was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Karthikeyan Matriculation Higher Secondary School was where he received his schooling.He has a younger sister Gayathri Lingam, who is married to Yathendra Lingam and has two young brothers Prashanth Balaji and Krishna Sai.
