In the Dominican Republic, Saldaña discovered her passion for dance while attending the ECOS Espacio de Danza Academy, which taught different forms of dance. Ballet is her favorite.

Faces’ Saldaña made a guest appearance in an episode of Law & Order (titled “Refuge, Part 2”) in 1999. Her first film part was in Center Stage (2000), directed by Nicholas Hytner and based on the actual American Ballet Academy in New York City. She appeared in the Britney Spears vehicle Crossroads (2002). Critics slammed the movie, yet it was a financial success.
