Shemi Martin is a rising young actress and model from Kerala’s small screen. She rose to fame in the Surya TV soap opera Nandanam, in which she played Orange, one of the three sisters played by Razna and Sreekutty, around whom the drama of the show revolves. Vrindavanam was originally aired on Asianet as Vrindavanam before being moved to Surya as Nandanam. This program is very popular among viewers, and its tale is quite similar to Balaji’s epic hit Kasamh Se on Hindi television.

Shemi was born in Cherthala, Allepy, Kerala, India in 1989. She has won numerous art competitions at school and college and wanted to be an actor, dancer, or model when she was younger. For the previous three years six months, she worked as a cabin crew on domestic airlines. However, her desire to be in the limelight compelled her to quit her job and pursue acting and modeling. Her debut was in Nandanam with Aparanta Pictures; they have committed to many more projects together. She also appeared on Asia television’s hot seat alongside her co-series artist and gave the money they had earned to Snehatheram charitable foundation.

She married Novin Vasudev, a budding film director from Kerala, in 2013. With Rajeev Ravi doing the cinematography, Novin will be directing the next Fahad Fazil movies from T Arun Kumar’s script. They reside in Trivandrum, and Shemi and Novin are good friends with some of the cast and crew of Nandanam.
She made her debut as an actress in Malayalam TV serials such as Nandana (Surya TV), Vrindavanam (Asianet), and Nadhaswaram (Mazhavil Manorama).
