Ron Perlman is an American veteran actor who has acted in over 230 films and television shows over the past four decades. Perlman is known for playing the character of ‘Vincent’ in the CBS fantasy drama series ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for which he received a Golden Globe Award. Over the years he has also appeared in several other popular television shows including ‘Bonkers’, ‘Phantom 2040’, and ‘Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm’(as a voice artist). He played the role of ‘Josiah Sanchez’ in ‘The Magnificent Seven’ and later appeared in the animated shows ‘Teen Titans’ and ‘Danny Phantom’ as a voice artist. During his lengthy acting career, Perlman has appeared in numerous film productions as well. His portrayal of the titular character in the film ‘Hellboy’ earned him a superhero stature in the fantasy superhero films genre. When he was considering quitting his line of work, he was offered the role of ‘Vincent’ in the CBS fantasy drama ‘Beauty and the Beast’. He played the lead character of the mythic, noble beast-man opposite Linda Hamilton who portrayed the ‘beauty’. Perlman was part of the show for 55 episodes between 1987 and 1990. He was nominated at the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series as well as at the Q Awards for Best Actor in a Quality Drama Series.
