N T Rama Rao Jr – Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, better known as NTR Jr. or Tarak, is an Indian actor, singer, and television presenter who has worked in Telugu cinema for over 20 years. He has appeared in close to 30 films during his 20-year film career. He is also popularly known as the Tiger of Tollywood, has won two state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, and four CineMAA Awards. He was born on May 20, 1983, in Hyderabad to Telugu film actor and politician Nandamuri Harikrishna and Shalini Bhaskar Rao, a Karnataka native. He went to Vidyaranya High School in Hyderabad for his primary education and Saint Mary’s College in Hyderabad for his secondary education. He is a trained Kuchipudi dancer.

N T Rama Rao Jr married a real estate entrepreneur and wealthy businessman’s daughter in Lakshmi Pranathi. Ramaraj made his debut in the 1991 film Brahmarishi Vishwamitra, written and directed by his grandfather N. T. Rama Rao, as a child actor. Later, he played the titular role of Rama in Gunasekhar’s mythological film Ramayanam (1996), which was chosen for Best Children’s Film at the National Film Awards.
