She is well known as the only child and daughter of the late famous American comedian, Joan Rivers, and the producer, Edgar Rosenberg. Melissa Rivers Biography
Rivers was born Melissa Warburg Rosenberg in Manhattan on January 20, 1968; the only child of Joan Rivers and Edgar Rosenberg. She is of Russian-Jewish descent on her mother’s side and German-Jewish on her father’s side. Rivers attended the private John Thomas Dye School in Bel-Air and then The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She was a founding member of the Tabard Society, an off-campus secret society for women. After five years of dating, Rivers married horse trainer John Endicott in December 1998 at the Manhattan, New York Park Hotel in an extravagant $3 million dollar Dr Zhivago-themed winter wonderland wedding. They divorced in 2003. She has one son named Cooper (born in 2000 Edgar Cooper Endicott) who features with Rivers and her mother in the reality show “Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?”
