Divya Padmini is the name of a Tamil and Malayalam actress. She is an actor who works in bilingual films, Tamil and Malayalam. She began her acting job in college at Kattappana in the Idukki district of Kerala. She has performed on both the small and big screens. Divya Padmini started her career in film with the Malayalam movie Chandranilekkoru Vazhi, which was directed by Biju Varkey and she played the part of a country girl Indira. She appeared opposite Kalabhavan Mani in Indrajith in 2007. Divya Padmini changed her name to Divya Padmini after adopting her mother’s maiden name as a backup pseudonym. In Tamil, she played the role of Ashwini in Puli Vesham in 2011, which was her debut feature film and was directed by P.Vasu. Her current stage name is derived from this work; it adds to her mother’s maiden name.
