Asif Basra (27 July 1967 – 12 November 2020) was an Indian actor who worked in Bollywood films and television serials. He is most recognized to Western audiences for his role in Outsourced. He was an accomplished actor who had appeared in numerous Hindi, English, and Urdu theatre productions, including Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, Oh No! Not Again, Mahatma V/s Gandhi,’ Krrish 3′ (2013), ‘Hichki’ (2018), and ‘P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar.

Asif Basra was born in Amravati, Maharashtra, India on July 27, 1967. He studied at Mumbai University and acted in university productions. In college, he won awards for the roles he played frequently. He received a bachelor’s degree in physics after graduating from university.
In addition, in 2019, Basra appeared in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday and Rahul Dholakia’s Parzania. The movies have received significant praise. He starred in One Night with the King alongside seasoned actors like Omar Sharif and Peter O’Toole.

- He was a tailor in the Hindi film Lamhaa, and he appeared as Shoaib’s father in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, which was Bollywood’s top-grossing movie in 2010.
