Kurylenko was discovered by a female model scout on holiday in Moscow when she was thirteen. She signed with the Madison modeling agency in Paris at the age of seventeen. At the age of 15, she was already on the covers of Vogue and Elle. Kurylenko’s mother struggled to support the family while she worked as a model in Paris.
