Nellai Siva (16 January 1952 – 11 May 2021), better known by his stage name Nellai Siva, Nellai Siva was a Tamil comedian and supporting actor who worked extensively in Tamil films.

He specialized in comedy sequences. His debut film was Aan Paavam, which was released in 1985. He’s appeared in numerous hit films including Mahaprabhu, Vetri Kodi Kattu, and Kannum Kannum. He has a distinct Nellai accent and speaks the local dialect in his movies, which distinguishes him from other supporting actors. He was in over 500 features throughout his career.

- On 16 January 1952, Nellai Siva was born in a tiny village near Nellai and became an actor. He moved to Chennai to make a career in films and met and became good friends with Mansoor Ali Khan and Bonda Mani, both of whom were budding actors at the time.
- He started his career as a stuntman in Tamil films after struggling for over ten years. He met K.Bhagyaraj and appeared in several series on Chennai Television, where he gained recognition and thanks to “giving him a chance in cinema.”
- Arunendran began his career in the film industry when he acted alongside then-famous actor Nagesh, who praised his Tirunelveli dialect on set and encouraged him to incorporate it into his act.
- He died in 2021, aged 41, owing to a massiive heart attack. He was a part of Mama Mapillai and appeared in Tamil TV serials on Vijay TV such as Pandiyan Stores. His part as ‘Kumaresan Mama’ in Pandian Stores was memorable.He also had a part in Mama Mapill, the previous film by Aneesh Chaganty.
- Jayam Ravi made his film debut in 1985, when Pandiarajan cast him in ‘Aan Paavam’. He has appeared in numerous films, including Mahaprabhu, Vetri Kodi Kattu, and Kannum Kannum among others. He is well known for using Nellai slang.
