She began her career as a backup dancer from the film Soldier and has since been in a number of well-known Hindi films, including Hindi Taal, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, Badal, Mohabbatein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Ek Rishtaa: The Bond of Love, and Yaadein. She has given solid performances in all of these flicks and was fairly successful as a backup dancer prior to entering the field of acting! From dance to the television industry, Jaswir made her acting debut in 2004, in the TV series ‘K. Street Palo Hill,’ portraying the role of Smriti Gupta/Shalini. But it was her part as Kajal in CID, a show that aired on Sony and drew a large audience, that earned her prominence and popularity. She has appeared in a number of popular daily soaps, including Sasural Simar Ka, Adalat, Hitler Didi, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Gangaa, Waaris, and others. She played a number of side roles and portrayed a variety of personalities on various series, ranging from family member to wife to cop and everything in between! She is currently seen in two of the most popular shows: Anupamaa, which has a high rating, and Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which is known for its unique premise.
She has also tried non-scripted series such as ‘Mr. & Ms. TV,’ where she came in second place, and sports reality entertainment shows such as ‘Box Cricket League season 2’ and ‘Box Cricket League – Punjab.’ Fans get to experience the witty, honest, and entertaining side of her through these shows, and get to know her better on a personal level! She walked the runway for Gitanjali Gems at the India International Jewellery Week’s for the social cause ‘Beti’ in 2013.
