Taika Waititi /ˈtaɪkə waɪˈtit/  (born 16 August 1975), better known by his stage name Taika Waititi, is a New Zealand film director, actor, and comedian. He has won two Primetime Emmy Awards, a BAFTA Award, an Academy Award, and a Grammy Award. His top-grossing New Zealand film is Boy (2010), which he also wrote. He has received four BAFTA nominations and one Academy Award nomination.
